About
Dr. HIROYUKI SUZUKI is the senior executive vice president, representative director of Advanced Telecommunications Research Institute International (ATR), and a co-founder and the president CEO, XBorder Innovations, Inc. (XBI), both located in Keihanna Science City, Kyoto, Japan.
He is leading the establishment of a global innovation ecosystem and various startup support platforms which are built upon global innovation collaboration networks comprising in 1100+ organizations, including 450+ ones in 40 overseas countries. Core partners in Austria are Global Incubator Network (JIN) Austria and TU Wien Innovation Incubation Center (TU Wien i2c) with which we signed an MoU in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
He is the curator of the “Industry" exhibit in the Kyoto booth at the Osaka Kansai Expo 2025 and a supervisor of the startup festival at the Keihanna EXPO 2025.
My organisation
ATR was founded in March 1986 with the support of various partners from industry, academia and government, aiming to promote basic and creative research activities in telecommunications and to contribute greatly to society. In 1989, our research laboratories were opened in Kansai Science City, or “Keihanna,” as its core institution, following use of an interim office in Osaka City. We constantly pursue research and development to achieve comfortable and exciting human life in the future.
